Another plain grey example but this one has blue tinted windows. A lot of models from this era have now passed before my camera lens but this is the first that I’ve seen with such a blue tint.

This particular model belongs to a collector in Church Gresley in Derbyshire and I noticed it a few months ago. Visiting him again, he let me have it to display here and we thought we’d se what people might think it is worth.

These models are valued anyway when they’re in good condition, being the very first batch issued in 1956. To have something a little different amongst them makes it particularly interesting.

The paintwork is excellent apart from a mark on the roof and another on one side that looks like some corrosion beneath the paint. The wheels are lovely and bright and the screens all very clear. The silver paint, as always seems to be the cae on tehse is excellent and the bumpers free of the usual nicks. The tyres have cracked but are still all there and the base has a few speckles of rust but is otherwise very clean and bright. The car is totally original.
