This is one of the scarcest Corgi Toys.

Just 650 of these were produced for a Dutch company Avro Bode who now publish a magazine by the same name. I am not sure but expect that was also the case then and it then makes sense that the ‘Evening Standard’ edition of the CA van was used for this.

It could also have been a 422 Corgi Toy van that was used as they look the same to me. Anyway, one or the other was painted in this unique shade of blue and had the black paper stickers with contrasting text.

This example is totally original with just a little wear to the paintwork but no chips or dents. The roof is excellent, as are the windows and wheels. There is some very feint rusting on the base. The silver paint is also very good, mostly missing from the headlamps as seems to be the case with other examples I’ve seen.

I have replaced the stickers with excellent ‘aged’ examples. They can be easily removed if required without any damage to the paintwork underneath which is also unmarked as you can see in the gallery.

For such a rare item the price will not be cheap. If you are interested send me an offer.
