These are photos of the actual model available. Remember that these toys are around 50 years old! All models advertised are original, not restored or repainted unless I have stated otherwise.
The is the first Mini Cooper, appearing in May 1962 and lasting until 1965 when a series of ‘Rally’ editions would replace it.
There are two main colours, blue and primrose with talk of a pale lime green but that I have yet to confirm. The blue comes with either a lemon or red interior. The primrose always has red. The numbers can be 1, 3 or 7 and there are scarcer thin types of number too. The bonnet may be either white or body colour but the roof will always be white. Lastly, late editions had free spinning wheels but most are fixed, shaped wheels. Quite a few variations to collect!
This is a possible candidate for the pale lime green shade and it is the only one I have with free wheels so quite unusual and worth a bit more as a result, especially with a very good original box which is complete and only slightly crushed at one end.
