A marvellous example of one of the first taxis with flat, fixed wheels. The taxi was only the 11th model to get suspension, the first issues being in 1960. It stays in the catalogue all the way through to the 1970s when it gets Whizzwheels and a red interior.

You will also find this in Gift Set 35 with either a uniformed driver or a more relaxed fellow in a jacket and bow tie. Gift Set 11 has the Whizzwheels version but no driver.

Wheels became shaped but still fixed and then free spinning but I do not believe there were any of the cast ‘spoke effect’ type.

It would be very hard to find a better example of this model - I cannot see any faults at all! Even the bumpers are undamaged. Really nice.
