These are photos of the actual model available. Remember that these toys are around 50 years old! All models advertised are original, not restored or repainted unless I have stated otherwise.

This is the third one of these very rare models that I have found and, I’m afriad, in the worst condition of the three.

I have repaired the window frame in two places and refitted a spare on the bonnet. I cannot do much about the front bumper, though, which is missing chunks left and right. The paintwork is pretty poor too.

Apart from that, however, it is sound with good suspension, decent wheels and the screens are good. There isjust one small crack and the rear hook is intact too.

This was released only for a very short period in 1962 when the Land Rovers were all upgraded to the Series II model with interiors and suspension. Like the RAC, Breakdown and RAF models the change was marked by adding an S. More or less as soon as this was issued, though, the 438 in green was released and this model was neverlisted in catalogues and, even now, seems to be omitted from many model lists.

In this state it is difficult to know what price to put on it. I may just keep it.
