These are photos of the actual model available. Remember that these toys are around 50 years old! All models advertised are original, not restored or repainted unless I have stated otherwise.
A MkI type Land Rover in RAC blue with a blue roof and matching tin canopy. This is very old but is a super example.
There are two types of this Mk1 Land Rover in RAC guise. The difference is that the very earliest editions had a headboard with the sign on the roof and different transfers on the canopy. Later versions with the Mk 1 Land Rover do not have a headboard.
This a version with the roof sign and a nice original canopy but with replacement transfers. They are a little too white and, in fact, the parts supplier sent the transfers with the text RADIO and RESCUE either side of the RAC sign. That is the ‘No headboard’ type so I cut out the logo and it nearly works. One day we might get some cream logos to use.
I have written at length on these in my blog and you will find these with smooth or shaped wheels but I believe editions with shaped wheels will be quite rare.
Later, a MkII version came along with suspension and an interior and no roof sign.
