This is the second version of this vehicle. It may still have 153 on the base and the Corgi catalogues still listed it as 153 (only shown as 153A in the 1963 issue) and, just to confuse us even more, it seems that many later issues were still supplied in 153 boxes! If it has black plastic wheels, though, it is 153A.

The first version has silver metal wheels with thin black rubber tyres.

Nearly all the 153A models also had the two Union Flags on the front although I have heard of some with the UK and USA flags crossed together with a bluebird design.

There are plenty of these around. This one is in pretty good condition with just paint missing from the tops of the wheel housing and some chips on the edges. The cockpit cover is clear and the transfer original and complete. Not a bad example at all. Inexpensive too.
