Most of the Corgi range had some appeal for me in one way or another but I have struggled to find anything about the early racing cars. They just looked so basic and lacking in much detail. Maybe there just wasn’t much detail. Anyway, here it is, this time in blue.

This is the Lotus with no driver which was added in 1957. It is also slightly different from the 1961 151A, with a slightly changed windscreen.

The windscreen itself on this one is original. The paintwork is excellent after 60 years and the original decal RN1 has survived well, together with the original metal steering wheel and nice, almost unmarked dark red seating. The wheels and tyres are mercifully sound as I have no idea how one would change them!

These are quite expensive now, few being in anything like good condition and the blue and red variations are quite hard to find too.
