Despite the number, the Morris preceded the Austin Seven by almost a year. The Morris Mini-Minor was released in February 1960, the Austin Seven in January 1961.

The Morris would be pale blue or a more lilac shade and has either a red, lemon or scarce cream interior. The red is the more common. Wheels started flat and fixed and then became shaped and free spinning. Late in its life it gained cast, spoke effect wheels and finally a new colour when a gorgeous purple appeared in 1968.

There are two main casts distinguished by the type 2 having a horizontal line along the front wing amongst other changes. Cast wheels appear in 1966 and Type 2 cast in 1967.

This one was from my own collection - now sold but others available.
