GS40 The Avengers Gift Set

This is a totally original set. The box is original, the characters are both original and the umbrellas too. And, of course, so too are the cars.

The Bentley is a correct green version with green rails and red wheels, in mint condition. The Lotus has small chips at the rear, one on the driver’s door and one on the rear wing. The steering wheel has been re-fitted at some point (but this is not at all easy to spot). The paintwork is lovely and in clean condition with no touch-ins and the wheels are bright with good suspension all round, something that often fails. The screen is clear, as are the sliding side windows.

The box is quite bright, just a little sign of fading over the years but the inner tray is very bright still. There are two puncture marks on one side of the box and a small tear on one wheel cut-out on the plinth. Otherwise all the flaps are present and there are no other tears or crush marks. There is a correct 16/6d price label from the original supplier at one end.

This is the most sought after version of the set and very, very rare to find in such all original state.

One of my favourite Corgi Items.

To ensure adequate insurance cover I would use Royal Mail’s Special Delivery service for this within the UK. Delivery to destinations abroad could be expensive - at least £50. Obviously collection or delivery in person would be ideal and minimise the risk of damage if you happen to be within reasonable travelling distance.
