These are photos of the actual model you are buying. Remember that these toys are around 50 years old! All models advertised are original, not restored or repainted unless I have stated otherwise.
Still going after goodness knows how many years, the VW cast gets its penultimate appearance as a Driving School car. Now this could be quite a good model, with some decent wheels fitted and even a nice choice of colour instead of orange. However, some idiot decided that it needed the most ridiculous gold steering wheel to be fitted on top.
The old red blob was bad on the Austin A60 but that had a vague semblance of reality. Having already produced a nice spare wheel to steer by and a police light on this model you’d have thought they would have chosen a better thing to turn.
This appeared very late in the 1:43 days, 1974 and #400 lasted just a year before being replaced by what looks identical but is numbered #401 in 1975 and that lasted just two years.
This example is immaculate and has a box that is a bit tatty round the edges but is all there. The later #401 came with a set of bollards but was otherwise identical.
