Remember - on most pages you can click pictures to see more photos!
These are photos of the actual model available. Remember that these toys are around 50 years old! All models advertised are original, not restored or repainted unless I have stated otherwise.
Take an attractive metallic maroon model, replace its clean-looking cream interior with red, paint it white and remove the sill transfers, adding stick-on stripes and numbers on the doors too. Replace clear perspex headlamp covers with cheap opaque plastic and, if that isn’t enough, replace the removable Golden Jack wheels with fixed black plastic things.
Yes, you’ve got it. A perfectly good model messed up. The doors and bonnet are still very flimsy so not even the opportunity to make an improvement there.
For all that, these #305s are scarce little things and, with white showing every nick or mark, not many look very good either. This one is not bad at all. It has several very small nicks but has really survived pretty well.
A collector has pointed out that the door sticker backgrounds are upside down compared to most models which have the red stripe at the top. These also have a serif style #7 and a plastic, shiny texture to all the stickers. I cannot imagine anyone making replacements for such a scarce item so maybe they are just late Corgi varieties. I honestly don’t know.
Pricing is also difficult as there are so few on the market.
There is also a blue edition but that is even more difficult to find.
