These are photos of the actual model you are buying. Remember that these toys are around 50 years old! All models advertised are original, not restored or repainted unless I have stated otherwise.
A cross-over model. #271 hadn’t been out very long and had the detachable chassis in a good looking blue and white model. I suppose it was a non-starter in that form for Golden Jacks so the car just gets sealed up, painted green and re-issued.
I have given up looking for one with an aerial! Just like its original version the aerial is something that just seems to have been designed to break off far too easily. Corgi should have supplied some spares in the box and also made it simple to remove the stub and add a new one. I haven’t attempted on this one for fear of damaging it. I am sure if it were that simple then people would have done it and there would not be so many of these around without them.
The colour is smart but liable to get easily chipped so be careful. Apart from a very small mark this one has survived so far and is in really nice condition. The box is also almost as good as new with good acetate and no scuffs or damage that I can see.
These Whizzwheel versions are scarce, especially in as good a condition as this. For some reason they’re not yet commanding the high prices I would expect as they are actually more rarer than their predecessors. Soon people will realise that and they’ll increase rapidly I suspect. In the meantime I can only ask what I think this is worth bearing in mind how few I have found so far.
