These are photos of the actual model available. Remember that these toys are around 50 years old! All models advertised are original, not restored or repainted unless I have stated otherwise.
This is the first version of this long running item. It has the fixed smooth wheels and no suspension or interior. The early ones also had this open type of structure for the jib. Some later ones will have the closed type and maybe still no interior or suspension. The other identifier is the tin canopy with transfers which would become plastic with stickers in due course for 477.
AT one point 417 gains suspension and interior and becomes 417S and the only detectable difference between that and 477 is the removable canopy! So goodness knows how anyone can ever be sure!
Back to this one. They’re pretty cheap still which is a shame but there must be a lot around. This one has a few chips but looks good and is all there. The screens are clean but there is a crack in the rear screen. The wheels and tyres good and the mechanism and original hook are all fine. The original type tin base is nice and clean too.
I like Land Rovers a lot and will quite happily keep this in my collection but if anyone wants one to fill a space then it’s not going to cost very much.
