A very early original Corgi from late 1957. This is the first edition of the Ambulance variation of the Bedford van with the split screen. Later, very rare, editions have a single front screen and a ridged roof.

The model is totally as it was and it is generally pretty good. A good example of the genre. They are hard to find in reasonable condition and so many have, by now been repainted.

Nearly all the models I have seen have had a curved grill but I believe that there are a few examples with a straight grill and I am hoping to find one before long.

It is strange that such an innocent little model could give rise to two quite significantly scarce varieties!
