These are photos of the actual model available. Remember that these toys are around 50 years old! All models advertised are original, not restored or repainted unless I have stated otherwise.

I didn’t even know this existed! Then I saw one for sale as #406S and was intrigued as the yellow colour appeared genuine. Further research and I find some images of this model on various auction sites and selling for extremely high prices except on Toymart where, even with a box, it isn’t any more than a normal #438. Crazy but I guess if no-one knows about it they’re not going to check a price there.

So it seems that this is one rare item and, even though mine is a bit bashed paintwork-wise, it is all there, the perspex is intact and the wheels are all OK. The hook’s still there too.

Land Rovers were upgraded with suspension and the new body in early 1962, with a red one appearing in Chipperfields sets in April. So I am guessing that this would have been produced in early 1962 for a few months only.

This is one of four I now have available. None are in great condition unfortunately but they are definitely collectible items.

I have no idea about prices for these yet but if you are interested then get in touch.
