Take an attractive metallic maroon model, replace its clean-looking cream interior with red, paint it white and remove the sill transfers, adding stick-on stripes and numbers on the doors too. Replace clear perspex headlamp covers with cheap opaque plastic and, if that isn’t enough, replace the removable Golden Jack wheels with fixed black plastic things.

Yes, you’ve got it. A perfectly good model messed up. The doors and bonnet are still very flimsy so not even the opportunity to make an improvement there.

For all that, these #305s are scarce little things and, with white showing every nick or mark, not many look very good either. This one is missing a headlamp cover, a passenger seat and has some deep scratches on the front edge.

However, it is scarce in any condition and this one looks great on display being quite clean otherwise.

These are not cheap so even with some parts missing the price is quite reasonable.

There is also a blue edition but that is even more difficult to find.

A slightly better 305 model
