This came along in May 1967 and is a super example of Corgi engineering again, like several at this time. The truck may have been something more common in America than Britain but essentially it was capable of lifting wrecks from odd places with two winch systems, one which could perhaps be used to stabilise the vehicle.

It has the familiar cab front with mirrors, horns and ladder etc that you’ll have seen on several others like the Car Transporter. It also uses the later truck type wheels and this set comes with two mechanic characters who look very similar to the men from a previous set!

The model lasted a long, long time through to 1974 and is not particularly scarce. However, finding one that is all original and is still fully operational and not damaged is not so easy. Really difficult now is finding one with a super original box and undamaged polystyrene packing inside!

This is, therefore, a super item to have.
