A pretty decent model, apart from the wheels. Even they, however, almost suit the car, one of the very few that we could say that about!

The MkIII Ford Cortina was not exactly an attractive car at the best of times but it does work as a model, strangely enough, and Corgi added jewelled headlamps and some chrome to help this along. The ‘vinyl’ roof is excellent and the interior, whilst a bit bland is reasonable.

The lettering on the boot panel looks way too big but otherwise, despite bearing a Mazak die-cast brand on the base, this is a very good model and one of the better from this late era.

The Cortina MkIII re-appears later dressed up as a police car too.

This example is in really excellent condition, virtually unmarked bronze paintwork and just looks great. It would have come boxed with Graham Hill, the racing driver but this is just the car for sale here unless I happen to find either.

[Now sold. That was quick.]

Another bronze edition

Metallic blue edition

There are also two scarce export editions in a metallic mustard, LHD and RHD. Both a pretty expensive.
