Quite a short life-span for the first Corgi Capri. Just a couple of years from 1970 for this and #303 a white Roger Clark version with a black bonnet. Then a Texaco rally version in all white appeared and was around a bit longer.

As one of the first Whizzwheels, this first came with the ‘red spot’ type of wheel but examples are very few and far between.

It is also easy to confuse this model with a later edition made by Corgi Classics which, whilst attractive, is worth considerably less!

These are quite difficult to find now in good condition but this is one of the best I’ve found. It is actually a lovely example and I have been pleasantly surprised as most of the Capris have not looked very good.

I think this has identical rear lights to the Chevrolet Camaro should you need any, by the way! The boot lettering is big but so many models from this era got that wrong.

A super example, now getting scarce. [Now sold]

There is also a fluorescent orange version
