With a very short production and sale period in 1969, the big and smart but slightly unusual sports car is not a common sight in collections.

Certainly, you will have to look long and hard to find one that still has its aerial intact.

This one does have an original aerial!

It is also in almost new condition. The only faults I can see are some tiny nicks on the front edge and what looks like a factory flaw that has allowed some blue to show through the white on the bonnet. These are really very minor, though, and this is a rare find in this condition.

The body and chassis can be separated. Not too sure why - it’s similar in that respect to the Lotus Elan hardtop #319 but you could have different colours for that. The Ghia appears only ever in blue and white with gold stripes.

It is very well made with nicely detailed wheels although I do feel that the whole car is a bit big. The wheels look enormous.

Another example in poor condition
