These are photos of the actual model available. Remember that these toys are around 50 years old! All models advertised are original, not restored or repainted unless I have stated otherwise.
The Ghia came in many colours and shades of those colours but this is the scarcest of them all. Copper cars from Corgi are very few and far between and always seem to command high prices as they are simply so difficult to find. (The Chevrolet Sting Ray in bronze, is another example).
This one has really nice paintwork, good chrome and a nice clean interior and undamaged windows. The rear suspension is excellent but, as is so often the case, the front suspension is pretty poor. I have managed to fix this by inserting a piece of rubber in the ‘air filter’ bonnet pop-up device which effectively keeps the body up. It raises the bonnet very slightly but I can adjust that so it stays in line.
This is a very fine example of a scarce model and comes with an excellent box that I have taken from one of the gold ones in stock.
